A Life Accident & Health agent or broker is licensed to sell, solicit or negotiate life insurance annuities and/or accident & health insurance. Life insurance is insurance that provides protection against the death of an individual in the form of a payment to a beneficiary.
Insurance License Application – Individual or TBA. The Department is authorized to license those who wish to operate as insurance agents, brokers and consultants, independent adjusters and public adjusters, and others as defined in New York Insurance Laws.
You should apply electronically through Sircon or www.NIPR.com to expedite the licensing process. You will be given the opportunity to submit an electronic application at the testing center or you may choose to apply using your own computer. The option to apply using a paper application is still available only if you are unable to apply online.
To be licensed there are various requirements you need to fulfill such as pre-licensing education and testing requirements. The licensing requirements are different, depending on which license you would like to apply for and your status as a resident or a non-resident applicant.
15 Οκτ 2024 · Once you pass the life insurance exam and complete your background check, you can apply for your Pennsylvania life insurance license. The application fee is $55 plus $5.60 transaction fee , and you must apply online via the NIPR .
