The ArmaLite AR-50 A1 is a single shot bolt action rifle chambered in .50 BMG. The rifle features a unique octagonal receiver and utilizes ArmaLite’s proprietary V-Channel Chassis. Designed for the challenges of long-range shooting, the AR-50A1 is exceptionally accurate and highly effective with a large muzzle brake.
It’s a great long-range and sniper round, and the only round capable of consistent shot placement at more than 1,000 yards. The .50 caliber is not listed as a destructive device, so it’s popular with long-range shooters.
The AR-50 weighs approximately 34 pounds and is a single-shot bolt-action rifle. The barrel is thick and rigid to prevent it from flexing. All AR-50 barrels use 1:15 right hand rifling. The receiver features Armalite's octagonal design, strengthening the receiver against flexing.
