1–7. Restrictions The following limitations and prohibitions are applicable to flags, guidons, streamers, and components: a. Unauthorized items. Flags, guidons, streamers, and compo-nents that are not described in this regulation or approved by TIOH are prohibited (See tables 1-1 and 1-2 for authorizations.) b. Alterations of designs.
For these purposes, the flag of the United States will be of rayon banner cloth or heavyweight nylon, trimmed on three sides with golden yellow fringe, 2 1/2 inches wide. It will be the same size or larger than other flags displayed or carried at the same time.
