Students, teachers, parents, and librarians can search in English or Spanish using criteria such as ATOS book level or a Lexile™ measure, interest level, title, author, fiction/nonfiction, subject, award-winners, state lists, CCSS Exemplars, and more.
Book Level measures the readability of the text of a book or other reading material. Accelerated Reader Bookguide allows you to see either the ATOS book levels or Lexile® Measures for your books and other reading materials (see the General preferences).
To view or print the Lexile® measure for a book or article, you must first perform an Advanced Search. In the search criteria, choose an interest level. To show both the ATOS book level and the Lexile measure in search results lists and on book details pages, select Show Lexile® measure.
If teachers want to use Lexile® measures instead of ATOS book levels to set reading range goals and set book level restrictions, they can use the class Lexile® Goals preference to choose "Use Lexile® measures."
Accelerated Reader, myON Reader, Star Reading, and AR BookFinder display book level data in either ATOS or Lexile measures, based on the preference of your school or district. Two ways to measure text complexity
