5 Ιουν 2012 · I am building a few uppers and I need to remove and install a different flash hider on different 11.5" SBR carbine barrels with medium to USGI contour. I assume I need a barrel vise jaws to properly remove and install the flash hider. Can you guys recommend a reasonably priced barrel vise jaw that will do the job.
5 Μαρ 2022 · You're best served with a heavy duty vise that uses bushings that conform to the barrel taper. This is all about surface area when pulling a barrel that might need 600-1000 ft lbs to break free (yes, I've had 5' cheaters for milsurps).
4 Ιαν 2023 · If you have a thermal fit upper receiver extension or are properly bedding the barrel using shim stock, then you will need to use a heat gun and apply a proper amount of heat to the receiver extension so that the barrel extension will slide into place.
