The warming of the Arctic is driven by (1) a decline in albedo due to ice melt and exposure of open water surfaces; (2) the albedo flip generated by formation of thin water surfaces above ice sheets and glaciers, and (3) the penetration of warm air masses through the weakened circum-Arctic jet stream (Figure 4.).

21 Ιουλ 2024 · This is the message that Sam Carana of Arctic News is conveying that is repeated from year to year without any modification. Messages repeated that way tend to become propaganda. I was put off Sam Carana forever when he suggested concentration camps for those who denied his message.

Last week he basically doubled down on his deadly prediction, taking it from 10C to 18C of warming by 2026. Plus he's posting at an incredibly rapid clip for him, once a every week or two as opposed to maybe every other month, if that.
