Special purpose models have short barrels, either 18.5 inches (47 cm) for the six-shot models, or 20 inches (51 cm) for the eight- and nine-shot models, but the barrels are fully interchangeable with all models of the same magazine tube length and in the 500 family.
The barrels are compatible within a group. Luckily, they are easy to distinguish: Persuader barrels are 20" with the ring & the bolt at the very end of the barrel. Other barrels, from 18.5" to 28" (or 30"?), are with 99% certainty from a normal model.
Lucky for you, they're interchangeable for almost everything including barrels and the last time i checked they weren't sold out of the 28 inch ones.
