29 Αυγ 2017 · Yeah there really are a ton. The Elk Ridge set, the first pic, costs $17 and has great reviews on Amazon. I guess I can try these as my default but was curious if there are any sub $30 knives in stainless that may be better quality.

I wouldn't get one of their knives in the lower grade steels, cause then it's just poor steel in questionable build quality based on some review videos I've seen. They even have a 1095 sharp finger! Any of those would be a good choice, or a mora if that strikes your fancy.
10 Νοε 2012 · IMO the design is perfect, much more ergonomic than i would have expected for a knife of this price range. With a better blade steel than 440 something it would be an incredible knife. But you are not going to get that for the price. So i have no problem with elk ridge.
