4 Ιουν 2024 · The Arizona economy kicked off the new year in solid shape. The labor market has normalized somewhat, with quit and hire rates back to pre-pandemic levels and steady job gains. Even so, the state unemployment rate is near historic lows. Phoenix inflation has moderated and is below the national rate.

The Arizona economy solid through the first half of 2024. Job growth was strong, contributing to a record-low unemployment rate and a surge in the ratio of open jobs to unemployed residents. Income growth remained solid, with over-the-year growth outpacing decelerating inflation.
ARIZONA OUTLOOK. Arizona and the nation are in a recession which began in February 2020, as determined by the National Bureau of Economic Research. However, Arizona is on a path to full replacement of lost jobs during 2021, and is expected to have a stronger rebound than most states.
