It begins at noon each day and lasts approximately 30-45 minutes. That includes every weekday, weekend and holiday. Located in Central Riverside Park at 700 Nims, the Kansas Wildlife Exhibit (KWE) features exhibits with a naturalistic design which ensures the health and comfort of the animals.

The Great Plains Nature Center is a visitor center that has a small nature museum attached that explores the tall, mixed, and short grass prairie. They also have an aquarium exhibiting Kansas fish and aquatic animals. On the grounds are nature trails that go through wetlands and woodlands.
