12 Σεπ 2024 · Firefighters are responding to a wildfire, named the Siphon Fire, on the Tonto National Forest northeast of Apache Junction in the Superstition Wilderness. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCOSO) issued an evacuation order for Canyon Lake and Tortilla Flat earlier this morning.

12 Σεπ 2024 · Update: 9/14/24 (9:09 A.M.) Tonto National Forest fire crews have made good progress on the Siphon Fire. Residents east of Mountain View Road, west of the Tonto National Forest, between Broadway Road to Lost Dutchman State Park are now returned to "READY- Prepare Now" status.
WATCH LIVE: The Superstition Fire continues to burn north of Gold Canyon in the Superstition Wilderness. It has grown to about 2,664 acres and is zero percent contained. No communities are threatened and no evacuations have been ordered.
