This article provides information about effective ways to train Attack, Strength, Defence, and Hitpoints through melee combat in free-to-play.
For gear: (Assuming Strength 99, Range 99, Defence 1, Attack 1, Magic 99, Prayer 45) You'll want to use green dhide chaps, any cape, maple shortbow, rune warhammer, addy arrows, studded body, green d'hide vambraces, amulet of power, coif, fancy or fighting boots, and anti-dragonfire shield.
