Aruba's National Flag and Anthem Day Events. March 18th is the official holiday on which we celebrate the existence of our National Anthem “Aruba Dushi Tera” and our blue, yellow, red and white National Flag.
Families and guests of all ages are invited to enjoy the vibrant cultural heritage of Aruba during our National Anthem & Flag Day event. The festivities kick off at 6:30 PM with a demonstration of the traditional “Kaha di Orgel,” a cylinder piano, located near the mall entrance next to Maggy’s.
14 Μαρ 2024 · The national anthem, “Aruba Dushi Tera” (Sweet Land Aruba), composed by Padu del Caribe with lyrics by Juan Chabaya Lampe, is a heartfelt tribute to the island’s natural beauty, its heritage, and the unwavering spirit of its people.
Starting at 6 pm to 11pm this Saturday, the Aruban community will celebrate our independence day with the cultural manifestation. Come enjoy our local music, dance performances and local food and arts and crafts.

Almost thirty years later during a parliamentary session on March 16th 1976, it was agreed that March 18th would be Aruba's National Day - the day to celebrate Aruba's national anthem and flag. This was celebrated for the first time in 1976.
