21 Ιουν 2022 · Aseptic meningitis, an uncommon but significant adverse reaction of IVIG therapy, can prove a diagnostic obstacle. As of April 2022, forty-four cases of intravenous immunoglobulin-induced aseptic meningitis have been reported in the English-language literature.

First, there was a strong temporal relationship between onset of symptoms suggestive of aseptic meningitis and high-dose IVIG therapy. Secondly, no other cause of meningitis could be found even after extensive investigations and finally, there was spontaneous improvement of symptoms within few days.
