  4. Apply for ASHA certification in audiology (CCC-A) any time after you graduate with your AuD from a program accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).

This letter serves as official verification that the individual named below currently holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Audiology awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and conferred by ASHA’s Council for Clinical Certification in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology.

  6. Verify ASHA Certification Verify the status of an individual's Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) or Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or the status of an individual's assistants certification in audiology (C-AA) or speech-language pathology (C-SLPA).

  7. ASHA certification must be renewed on a yearly basis through payment of annual dues and/or fees. There also is an additional maintenance requirement for completion of 30 hours of professional development activities every three years. ASHA does not issue certification numbers.
