21 Οκτ 2012 · After some digging with Google I found the following fixes that worked for me and my friends: Fix #1: Simply select the game window and press ALT+Enter This usually works. Try both the left ALT and the right ALT buttons. Some users had better luck with left ALT+Enter.
I figured out a solution after messing around with the display settings. For anyone else having this problem all you need to do is go to your search bar, type in “Change Resolution of the display”, go to display resolution and set it to 1280 x 720. Boom full screen mode!
7 Σεπ 2021 · The easiest way to go full screen in an application or a game is to use the Alt + Enter keyboard shortcut. This method works for most games and apps unless they use it to enable other features. The shortcut is also used to switch from full-screen mode to windowed. Keep in mind the Alt + Enter shortcut doesn’t work in web browsers.
It worked for me (windows 10) and non-steam copy of game. I installed dxwnd (google it) which is a program that lets you run direct x games in window mode (and has a lot of custom settings you can use for size, etc, if you want).

Look for C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\Ubisoft\Assassin's Creed\Assassin.ini In that file there should be a line that says "fullscreen=0" or something like that. 22 Οκτ 2013 · As Samir stated, Alt + Enter is the Windows key combination to toggle between full screen/windowed mode. If you want those other unnecessary programs to be automatically disabled when launching a game and then re enabled when exiting a game, I highly recommend you check out Razer Gamebooster .
