21 Οκτ 2012 · While playing the game if you ALT+TAB out then sometimes the game never returns to full screen mode. Also for some of my friends the game never switches to full screen. After some digging with Google I found the following fixes that worked for me and my friends: Fix #1: Simply select the game window and press ALT+Enter This usually works.

I figured out a solution after messing around with the display settings. For anyone else having this problem all you need to do is go to your search bar, type in “Change Resolution of the display”, go to display resolution and set it to 1280 x 720. Boom full screen mode!
Download the dxvk-1.7.3.tar.gz file, extract it, copy the following dlls from the x64 folder to the Assassins's Creed game folder - d3d11.dll and dxgi.dll. Don't copy the Direct3D 9 and 10 dlls - this results in the game not starting up. At this point, you should be able to start up the game, and it should work.
