  1. I made a shortcut straight to x360ce with the profile loaded into it. I also have it in my AC2 directory with the profile for that game loaded when I play. It’s just easier. You have to run x360ce before the game every time. After that, the controls are the same as on my Xbox.

  2. 14 Απρ 2017 · Installation. Extract the folder and find the two files called "x360ce.ini" and "xinput1_3.dll" and drag and drop them into your Assassin's Creed 1 steam folder. Its probably located: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Assassins Creed. All Done. Just Boot the Game and go into the Controls Settings to Change it to Xbox One Controller.

  3. AC1 and 2 have problems with newer Xbox controllers where the triggers don't work. Install that fix and it should work, although there's no controller support on the main menu, so you'll have to use a keyboard and mouse to switch to controller on start up.

  5. If you’re using an Xbox controller, this is super easy to use. It works exactly like the console versions. You just have to launch x360ce first.

  6. You need to start the game, choose profile, options -> customize controls. Then choose Controller (XBOX 360 for windows). Also try this in steam: View -> Big picture mode -> Settings -> Controller settings -> XBOX configuration support.

  7. I understand the game seems to run fine on Windows 10, but please nonetheless try launching it using Windows compatibility mode. Our compatibility mode guide [www.ubisoft.com] describes how to do this, and I'd recommend choosing compatibility for Vista.
