Admission to the park is free, but visitors are required to purchase a 1-year parking pass for $5 per vehicle. Visitors may climb the inside of the tower to the observation deck at the top, which provides a spectacular view of Astoria and the Columbia River.
The Astoria Column is the perfect place to begin your Paci c Coast vacation. The park grounds are open daily from sunup to sundown. Here, you’ll nd picnic tables, benches, public restrooms, and view nders providing views of the Columbia River, the Astoria-Megler Bridge, Young’s Bay and Saddle Mountain.

Entry to the Column itself is free although to park here costs $5. The column is 125 feet high and the viewing platform can be reached via a narrow, spiral staircase. Views extend south down the Coast Range past Saddle Mountain and north past Cape Disappointment to Mount Olympus on a clear day.
