Nightly, from almost anywhere in Astoria, you can look atop Coxcomb Hill and see a magnificent light show on the Astoria Column every hour on the hour. Relish a panoramic view of the Columbia River, learn the region's history through art, or launch a glider into the wind from this Oregon Coast jewel.
Visitors may climb the inside of the tower to the observation deck at the top, which provides a spectacular view of Astoria and the Columbia River. The gift shop’s hours of operation vary, and visitors are encouraged to call the monument at (503) 325-2963 for current hours.
