Licensed Home Care Services Agencies (LHCSAs) offer home care services to clients who pay privately or have private insurance coverage.
In response to the COVID-19 crisis, questions have been raised by providers regarding in-service requirements for aides and use of remote technology relating to nursing orientation and supervision of home care aides for new and existing patients.
The new Administrative Licensure Amendment process for Licensed Home Care Services Agencies (LHCSAs) has been finalized and will go into effect February 15, 2022. Please refer to the Dear Administrator Letter and the links below for additional information.
New York’s regulations also require 12 hours of in-service under 10 NYCRR §§ 763.13(l) (CHHAs, LTHHCPs and AIDS home care programs); 766.11(i) (LHCSAs); and 794.3(k)(1) (Hospices).
13 Οκτ 2022 · Effective October 1, 2022, through Public Health Law § 3614-f, the minimum wage for home care aides has been increased to $17.00 per hour in New York City, Long Island, and Westchester, and $15.20 per hour for the remainder of New York State.
