Table 2- RMS and Pk RF Voltage vs dBm Notably, the peak RF voltages at +10 dBm and +30 dBm are 1V and 10V respectively. This is useful to know when evaluating low frequency signal levels with an oscilloscope.
Radio systems in which each end can transmit and receive simultaneously Typically two frequencies are used to set up the communication channel. Each frequency is used solely for either transmitting or receiving. Applies to Frequency Division Duplex (FDD) systems. Example: Cellular phones, satellite communication
Unlike with CB (citizens band), radios, and most other 2-way radios, there is no license required to use an FRS radio. There are no fees for usage, airtime or per-call charges. (Aside from the cost of batteries, they are virtually free to use.) Uses “channelized” frequencies in the ultra frequency (UHF) band.
GENERAL CLASS FREQUENCY PRIVILEGES IN HAM RADIO Soon, if you haven’t done so already, you’ll be thinking about upgrading. You have many more frequencies to use on the high-frequency (HF) bands, as shown in the following table. A complete chart of the U.S. frequency and mode privileges for all license classes
6 Ιουλ 2024 · Midland and Cobra make radios with up to 38 "Extra Channels" (for a total of 40, 50 or 60 channels depending on the model). These extra channels are simply existing FRS/GMRS frequencies with hard coded tones, and fixed low power on the 467 MHz channels.
To avoid confusion, check your radio against a known Motorola standard radio and record your radio's channel and tone numbers in the chart below. The 22-channels assigned to the FRS and GMRS radio services are all shared, meaning that FRS operators can talk to GMRS operators, and vice versa, on all 22-channels.
CTCSS codes are sub-audible tones that are measured by audio frequency in hertz. DCS codes are bit streams added to a radio carrier. Consumer radios often have just an ID code number to identify each specific code. The Codes listed are Midland. Both Midland and Motorola ID codes for CTCSS codes up to 38 are the same. The DCS codes are different.
