AUC welcomes international students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, as well as visiting non-degree students. Studying at AUC offers students a unique opportunity to pursue high-quality American education on a global campus in the heart of the Middle East.
As a non-degree study abroad student at AUC, you will be directly enrolled in the University, allowing you to select courses across our 39 undergraduate or 52 graduate programs. Since AUC is an English-language University, you will be fully integrated on our campus, sitting in class with students from Egypt and around the world.
English Courses. The English curriculum is aligned to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for languages. It takes learners from the beginning of the A1 stage to the end of the B2 stage using digital resources. English Levels Flyer.

The Department of English Language Instruction (ELI) offers intensive, semi-intensive, and modular non-credit courses to prepare undergraduate and graduate students in academic English, critical thinking, and other academic skills that they will need at university.
English Oral Communication. This program consists of nine CFR aligned courses starting from CEFR A2 to CEFR B2, in a learner-centered, task-based and flipped classroom. Learners participate in speech tasks, which are intended to improve their communication skills. Apply now to create a Student ID.
