4 Φεβ 2019 · There is a similar thread over on another forum but I wanted some insight here as to what is going on with folks who have the 4.0TT motors and if they are seeing turbo failure (s) due to the turbo oil inlet screen disaster - essentially oil starvation. #1. Most Common Causes Of Turbocharger Failures. Approximately 40% of all turbocharger failures are oil-related. Contaminated or sooted dirty oil leads to bearing scratching and scoring which cause excessive bearing wear and premature bearing failure. Another oil-related turbocharger failure is lack of lubrication.

To look for potential boost problems log Block 115 and you can see the specified Vs actual boost. If you exceed the specified then there is a good chance that you will go into this limp mode.
11 Μαΐ 2018 · I'm experiencing the exact same problem with an single turbo 2017 Audi A6, 2.0 TDI, 150.000 km on the odometer. Idle mode (indicatet by a yellow flashing spiral on the display - that's the only signal that I recive), appearing totally random, mostly on highway (speds over 160 km/h) and only once at about 110 km/h, when throttling the car!
