We examined body image (i.e., self-body awareness) by asking individuals with ASD and typically developing (TD) individuals to estimate their own body size (shoulder width). Results show that TD individuals estimated their shoulder width more accurately than individuals with ASD.
There-fore, examining the body image of individuals with ASD would be a necessary step for developing improved evalu-ations of these therapies. In this study, we examined the perceptual body image of individuals with ASD by com-paring their estimates of body size with those of typically developing (TD) individuals.
