12 Φεβ 2023 · Seiko cal. 7s26. I came across a video on YT talking about how to "correctly" start a cal. 7s26 movement when the movement has stopped. Contrary to the widely accepted technique of doing the "seiko shake" to start the movement, the video mentions that by simply turning the crown while in the time setting position will kick the movement into motion.

13 Μαρ 2019 · original from watch-wiki. Seiko 7S26 caliber is one of the automatic movements introduced in 1996. It is non-hacking and non-winding mechanism, with its accuracy ranging from -20 to +49 seconds per day.
Sometimes you get lucky and get one that is very accurate, other times not so much. I’ve heard similar stories about the 4r36 which has replaced the 7s26, so not much has changed in that regard. All automatics will lose or gain time, the question is simply how often you have to adjust them.
