13 Δεκ 2010 · People always despise upon 7Sxx movement as being 'low end' ;'cheap' & 'not accurate' level. Here are examples of to show how good the SKX 7S26 movement is. The fine tuning of the movement was at the beginning of this year. Bear in mind this watch has no hack function.
Hi Reddit, hope you had a good Christmas break. I got into watches recently and currently looking into the affordable Seiko 5 line since I'm still a student and only work part-time. My only concern is the 7s26 movement which I've heard mixed reviews about its accuracy.
The Seiko caliber 7S26 is an automatic movement used in many popular Seiko divers and the entry level Seiko 5 watches. This movement was first released to the market in 1996. The most recent tech sheets found were dated 2011.
Movement is very nice, sturdy and long lasting to say the least. Regarding accuracy it's upto luck, I have a skx007 with 7S26 of course and I got lucky, it holds time very well, under a minute lost in almost three weeks, which is really good in my opinion.
