19 Σεπ 2010 · The ETA 2824's rotor spins sometimes during winding. It's been discussed on the Public Forum a few times. It might also indicate their isn't proper lubrication in the automatic system and it's therefore service time.

5 Απρ 2013 · If by "it would die" you mean the balance wheel stops ticking then the watch needs a service. A new watch should not do that so get it replaced by the dealer or serviced by the factory undfer warranty. The selling dealer should take care of all that.
automatic watches work by a rotor turning to wind the mainspring, but that does not mean that to wind the main spring it should be done via the rotor. if you were to only able to wind a watch by shaking it, it will likely break over time

12 Αυγ 2017 · It has happenned already two months ago and my watchmaker told me it was nothing major (he mentioned some direction lever related to automatic winding). It is a sellita sw200 movt. He supposedly fixed it then and now the problem is back again.
