16 Μαΐ 2016 · Are you looking for individual measurements or aggregated data (e.g. averages by country/region)? After poking around a little bit, I was a little surprised at how hard it is to find data on height and weight, even at the aggregated level.
The scatter plot illustrates the difference between the average heights of men and women around the world. It plots average male height on the y-axis, and average female height on the x-axis. The grey line shows where these heights are equal.
The following table shows the average sizes, weights and BMI from 128 countries. All figures refer to men and women between the ages of 18 and 25 years. In the US, the average male is 1.77 m tall. The average US-american woman reaches 14 cm less with a height of 1.63 m.
Below are two tables which report the average adult human height by country or geographical region. With regard to the first table , original studies and sources should be consulted for details on methodology and the exact populations measured, surveyed, or considered.
