Axis & Allies Europe 1940, a deluxe edition of Axis & Allies: Europe, includes neutral countries which can be invaded. There are true neutrals as well as pro-axis and pro-allied neutrals. Mechanized infantry and tactical bombers are included.
I finally bought the Pacific/Europe 1940 games in December as I always wanted to experience the "ultimate" version of A&A. I quickly realized my kitchen table couldn't accomodate the large board and all necessary pieces. I also cannot accomodate a permanent game table elsewhere in the house.
Axis & Allies Europe. Axis & Allies Europe (released in 1999) is set in the Spring of 1941 during World War II. Operation Barbarossa is in sight for Germany to attack the Soviet Union, and so to is the Battle of Britain.
Axis & Allies Europe 1940 (released in 2010) is a much revised version of the original Axis & Allies Europe game that was released in 1999. The setting is the year 1940 – World War II. One of the first things players will notice is a larger board size that includes all of Africa and South America.
Either Axis can declare war on the USA or USSR on any turn, but the USA and USSR can effectively both only enter the war of their own accord on turn 4. AA Pacific 1940 - Pacific 1940 features Japan, USA, China, UK and ANZAC.
