Purchasing full size targets for different drills can get costly. These targets that I've designed are free to you, your department, unit, or even other trainers to download and utilize. The Baer Standard drill was designed and named after a special forces operator and the owner of Baer Solutions. It really is a simple drill that works on both holster draw and shot placement. It doesn’t necessarily require a shot timer, but this does help if you are trying to push yourself.

This week I decided to take a look at the Baer Solutions Standards Target. This paper target has become fairly popular with trainers and experienced shooters because of its difficulty and time constraints.

Created by Drew Estell, founder of Baer Solutions, this drill is quite simple and can be used with both handguns and rifles. It is also quite efficient at determining where shooters need to improve shooting fundamentals.
26 Σεπ 2018 · The Baer Solutions Standards Drill is a fantastic speed drill, that makes you focus on a few specific skills, such as target transitions, reloads, and holdovers. It’s printable on regular 8.5″x11″ paper, so it’s easy to repeatably shoot, so a set of Baer targets always accompanies me to the range.
