I finally got to open my Christmas present and get to start my BUSA Smoothie build http://shop.balsausa.com/product_p/443.htm. The Manual they give you in the new kit is first class and better than the 2 pages of instructions included with the original.
29 Οκτ 2016 · The new rendition of Balsa USA's Smoothie caught my eye and I was hooked. Bought the kit from a fellow RCU member and then bought all the accessories. It will be powered by a Syssa 30 cc gas engine. has 5 in Dave Brown P 51 spinner.
27 Ιαν 2024 · Balsa USA Smoothie Build. I finished my first build, a Balsa USA Smoothie, 52” wing span. The wings are fully symmetrical with 1” of dihedral. It came out at 4.5 lbs with a 4S 3200 battery. It pulls 600 watts at 40 amps with a 13x8 APC prop.

11 Νοε 2016 · Kit Building - New Balsa USA Smoothie XL Build - Looks great. I just finished gluing up the fuselage plywood framing. I'll get the balsa sides on later tonight and then get cracking on getting the fuselage bulkheads (formers) in place tomorrow.
