11 Νοε 2016 · Kit Building - New Balsa USA Smoothie XL Build - Looks great. I just finished gluing up the fuselage plywood framing. I'll get the balsa sides on later tonight and then get cracking on getting the fuselage bulkheads (formers) in place tomorrow.
4 Νοε 2016 · I use an old flat iron to bend balsa sheeting. Wet the sheet and gradually pull up on the sheet while applying heat. Get a lot of steam and a perfectly bent sheet.
27 Ιαν 2024 · Balsa USA Smoothie Build. I finished my first build, a Balsa USA Smoothie, 52” wing span. The wings are fully symmetrical with 1” of dihedral. It came out at 4.5 lbs with a 4S 3200 battery. It pulls 600 watts at 40 amps with a 13x8 APC prop.
