15 Νοε 2016 · Pic 1 and 2: 2x4 Basics table assembled. I added a couple of coats of water-based polyurethane to seal the top and, once dry, I mounted my new Craftsman 10" band saw. I haven't figured out how I want to light the area though it'll probably be track lighting from Home Depot.
29 Οκτ 2016 · There are a lot of sub assemblies that have to be laminated before construction begins. Wing joiner is made of 4 separate pieces of plywood. all the main spars are made of two pieces of hardwood laminated together.
11 Νοε 2016 · The instructions call for gluing the tail sheet down, which is the length of the wing panel, and not applying glue to the portion where the wing bolt plywood sheet goes. You then remove the unglued bit of sheeting, add the balsa blocks then the plywood.
27 Οκτ 2020 · I've started to build my Smoothie XL with a DLE 35RA engine. Couple of questions, the DLE 35RA has a prop range of 18x10 - 20x10.
27 Ιαν 2024 · I finished my first build, a Balsa USA Smoothie, 52” wing span. The wings are fully symmetrical with 1” of dihedral. It came out at 4.5 lbs with a 4S 3200 battery. It pulls 600 watts at 40 amps with a 13x8 APC prop. It has CA hinges in the elevator and rudder and Du Bro pin hinges in the elevators. I put four Hitech Mighty Mini servos in it.
