BRCA1-Associated Protein 1 (BAP1) is a ubiquitin carboxy-terminal hydrolase that has been established as a tumor suppressor, utilizing its deubiquitinating activity to regulate a number of processes including DNA damage repair, cell cycle control, ...
3 Απρ 2023 · BAP1 is a ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase domain-containing deubiquitinase with a wide array of biological activities. Studies in which advanced sequencing technologies were used have...
Because of the powerful tumor suppressor activity of BAP1 and of its role in modulating “gene–environment” (GxE) interactions in cancer (6), an increasing number of researchers are investigating the biological mechanisms and medical implications of inherited and acquired BAP1 mutations.
22 Ιαν 2021 · In this review, we will summarize recent findings that have contributed to the diverse functional role of the BAP1 complex and further discuss the potential in targeting BAP1 for therapeutic...
Thus, BAP represents the first mammalian ER nucleotide exchange factor for BiP and reveals a conservation in the reg-ulatory machinery for the ATPase activity of the Hsp70 chap-erones found in other eukaryotic cellular compartments and in bacteria.
We identified a mammalian BiP-associated protein, BAP, using a yeast two-hybrid screen that shared low homology with yeast Sls1p/Sil1p and mammalian HspBP1, both of which regulate the ATPase activity of their Hsp70 partner.
