  1. 31 Οκτ 2005 · From what I've seen in 1000 yard shoots the Barrett 99 can be very accurate. For the most part however the AR-50 has been more accurate. With that being said I would take my Barrett 99 over an AR-50 any day. There is something to be said about the fit and finish of the Barrett.

  2. 2 Οκτ 2021 · The three differences between the M99 and the AR-50 are, felt recoil, price and weight. They both have good accuracy, they're both backed up by good companies. The AR-50 is heavier by a few pounds, that won't matter as you won't be taking either of them out hunting.

  3. 15 Δεκ 2015 · I'm going to get a .50 after the new year and I've narrowed it down to the Barret 99 and Armalite AR-50. Any input from those of you with experience on either or both would be appreciated.

  4. 24 Δεκ 2012 · The armalite should be more accurate. The armalite is much more pleasant to shoot. (recoil) The barrett is lighter if you ever need to carry it any distance. The barrett is shorter, and this actually is a big deal. AR50s don't fit in some cars if you have a passenger. I think the AR50 looks much cooler.

  5. 31 Μαΐ 2022 · Barrett 99. Like the AR-50, the Barrett M99 is a single-shot, anti-materiel precision rifle as an affordable .50BMG rifle option compared to their higher-end models. For the .50 caliber Barret 99, you can choose between a 32″ or a 29″ barrel.

  6. 14 Μαΐ 2015 · If you are looking for a heavy bench type gun get the AR50. If you are looking for a portable 50 for general plinking and some target get the Barrett 99.

  7. I will be picking up the Barrett M99 in the morning. The added value of everything that comes with and portability won out for me. It did clock in at $3200 so that leaves $1800 for optics and rings if anyone has any suggestions.
