21 Σεπ 2021 · Mohs surgery gives you the highest cure rate and lowest recurrence rate of any skin cancer treatment. The procedure is considered the most effective for treating many basal cell carcinomas (BCCs) and squamous cell carcinomas (SCCs), the two most common types of skin cancer.
Major criteria include multiple BCCs or 1 occurring under the age of 20; histologically proven odontogenic keratocysts of the jaws; 3 or more palmar or plantar pits; bilamellar calcification of the falx cerebri; bifid, fused, or markedly splayed ribs; or first-degree relative with nevoid BCC syndrome.
