6 Ιουν 2023 · How To Make a DIY Board and Batten Wall. Start with the large piece of trim that will be the top of your DIY board and batten wall. Decide on the height of your wall, and then start installing! Use a level to make sure you get this top board straight, or your entire project will be off. No pressure. I used my brad nail gun for this.
Install the horizontal 1 x 2 boards on top of the 1 x 3s using the same method. Measure and cut the vertical battens and install them. Fill the nail holes with wood filler and smooth the seams in the board and batten with paintable caulk. Prime and paint the wood to match the lower half of the wall.
23 Ιουν 2018 · If you're worried about the old caulk in your bathtub, try peel and stick options. They are easy to apply, and are great for renters. As a renter, I love this product and think it's easier than the real deal.
22 Μαρ 2024 · Batten Strips – I used 2.5′ wide strips of 1/4′ luan left over from another project; however, this is an incredibly cost effective way to create batten strips for you wall. You can also get furring strips from your local Lowe’s or Home Depot for less than $3 a piece.
