Owlman as Batman. Somehow escaping, Owlman masqueraded as Batman in his doppelgänger's old costumes and framed the Dark Knight for crimes around Gotham City. This sent many of the Caped Crusader's allies after him, forcing the Batman to work with his top foe, the Joker.

The first and most prominent was Earth-3’s Owlman, an evil counterpart of Batman who even had his own Robin, Talon. The second was Roy Raymond Jr., a heroic Owlman and member of the Outsiders. At first, I thought his violent apathy was a stupid excuse for a character, but it really makes a lot of sense if you think of Owlman as an opposite of Batman. At his core, Batman is who is is because he is driven, he has willpower and ambition. He made a promise, and it defines his character. What's the opposite of the most dedicated super hero?
