Bayou Rifles operates two ranges, the Juliff range (aka The George R. Huffman Memorial Range) and the Addicks range. The Juliff range was acquired from the Huffman family in 1948. It had been a National Guard training facility, but following WWII, was decommissioned.

Carbine rifles (9mm, 40 S&W, 45 ACP allowed) 223, 308 and other rifles cartridges not allowed; 25/50 Yard Range. Target frames at 25 yards and 50 yards. Covered Firing line with wooden benches for benchrest, standing, or prone. Designed for pistols and rifles (rim fire, center fire, & black powder).
The Juliff range gate closes at 9:25 and the orientation starts at 9:30am promptly. Late comers will not be permitted to enter the range and disrupt the orientation. Be safe and be early. Also bring ear plugs, this is a shooting range. Do not bring any firearms. If you can't stand for 90 minutes, bring a folding chair.

Bayou Rifles was incorporated in the State of Texas in 1936 to promote the art of safe Rifle & Pistol shooting. It is a non-profit corporation, the management of which is vested in the Board of directors, elected by the membership.
