The state has around 20 shark species, of which the great white, tiger, and bull shark are the most dangerous. The Atlantic sharpnose, sandbar, and most other sharks are spotted in the NC waters in summer (June-August) and autumn (September-November).
5 Φεβ 2024 · We are located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, where 65% of the community members never see the ocean. We house small sharks of 4 species and one round ray. Our oldest female shark, Epa, began laying eggs in 2015 and has not stopped.
Beaver Lake Bird Sanctuary is a very special place in Asheville! The Elisha Mitchell Audubon Society (local) raised the money to save this area from becoming just another strip mall in Asheville. The land instead became a beautiful place for birds, native plant species and other critters.
