Swan Falls is located along the Snake River about 20 miles south of Kuna, Idaho and is another great daytrip in the Treasure Valley. There are outstanding canyon views and good smallmouth bass fishing along the riverbank.

At Wees Bar, a remote area accessible only by bike or foot, explore hundreds of petroglyphs carved into glacial boulders by Native Americans 12,000 years ago. Begin at the Swan Falls Dam parking lot. Bring a fat bike in late summer and fall to glide over the dry, loose dirt that forms as the canyon bakes in the summer sun.
10 Μαρ 2011 · This week I'm recommending going hiking, biking or running from Swan Falls Dam to Wees Bar, where one can view a variety of cool Native American petroglyphs, on the south side of the Snake River. It's 12.2 miles to Wees Bar from the dam round-trip.
To access the petroglyphs, you will park at Swan Falls Dam and cross it to the other side of the Snake River. You will then just follow a pleasant trail along the side of the river for approximately six miles until you reach a field with large boulders scattered throughout it.
Between Swan Falls Dam and Celebration Park, the Snake River flows through towering basalt cliffs and forms the borders of three counties. On the north side of the river, the trip begins in Ada County, with the river entering Canyon County as it flows west into Celebration Park.
