This self-help workbook provides information and advice about self-harm. Most importantly, it gives some techniques and tools to keep yourself safe and help reduce self-harming behaviour as well as how to get support and what help is available.
When you feel that a client is at risk of suicide or self-harm, but they have not reached the level of severity required for involuntary hospitalization, it's common practice to create a Safety Plan.

3 Σεπ 2024 · A safety plan is something a therapist uses when a child or teen expresses thoughts of suicide, self-harm, or harming others. It includes a series of steps meant to help the teen, when they are feeling overwhelmed, redirect their attention away from harmful thoughts or feelings.
