Since the upgrade of Bejeweled Blitz we now have shards & diamonds that can be used to upgrade Boosts. Upgrading with Shards is easy enough, but I can find no way of using Diamonds "for special upgrades to Boosts". Has anyone else worked this out?

I’m playing Bejeweled Blitz on an iPad Pro 11” and the game continuously freezes. I’ve lost coins and jewels many times. There is no error code. It just keeps freezing mid-game and I constantly lose my progress. I’ve tried resume game but it doesn’t work. The game stays frozen.
