Note: FN uses the same date codes, so the above link will work for FN marked HP's as well as the Browning High Power. Serial Number Example: 510NN01001. This would be a 9mm Hi Power pistol, manufactured in 1999 with the serial number 01001.
23 Ιουν 2024 · Below is the key to FN dates of manufacture via the serial numbers. Z = 1. Y = 2. X = 3. W= 4. V = 5. T = 6. R = 7. P = 8. N= 9. Earlier codes; 1954 to 1964 = 70000 to circa 115823, ’64 to ’69: T136568 to circa T261000, followed be the introduction of the 2-digit year code and “C”.
4 Οκτ 2020 · All High Powers (and Browning High Powers) were made by Fabrique Nationale Herstal, Belgium. This should be roll markrd on the left side of the slide. Other companies made clones and licensed copies... sounds like yours is from FNH (FN) by the T serial number.
28 Ιουν 2012 · Belgium first adopted the HP for military service in 1935 as the Browning P35. China, Latvia, Lithuania and Peru also adopted at the same time. About 56,000, give or take a few, pistols were manufactured by FN before Germany invaded Belgium and Holland on May 10, 1940.
