23 Μαΐ 2019 · As Jesus said in John 3:3, “unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” New Birth is the transforming work of God that moves us from a state of spiritual death to life. It is the God-caused act that makes us a new creation, with new loves and affections.
Baptists teach that people are born again when they believe that Jesus died for their sin, and was buried, and rose again, and that by believing/trusting in Jesus' death, burial and resurrection, eternal life shall be granted as a gift by God.
Being born again signifies “faith in the redemption of him who created you” . Being born again signifies that sincere repentance has taken place (Mosiah 27:24; cf. Alma 5:49–51). Those who are born again enter into a covenant with God to “be obedient unto the end of [their] lives” .
