As to the hotels, it is all up to you as to experience. Belmond ( purchase by L Vuitton Lux Hotels) is one of the best hotels in Foz. The staff, hotel and dining is one of the best. The falls are steps away from the hotel and you have access to the falls 1 hour before the falls open to the public.
If it's true, I'm imagining a 3-nights-stay at Cataratas, with two nights as the Belmond and the last night at the Meliá. Maybe in 2020? At least, I live in Argentina; the air fare should not be a problem ....
We preferred the Belmond with the lovely lunch around the nice pool, etc. But the Melia is right in the Arg. Falls park, so it has advantages, too. And it's a good 'brand'. You would not likely go wrong in either, so the plans you have for visiting the Falls on both sides - and your flight out - should probably be the deciding factor. Just IMO.
