17 Νοε 2020 · For me, the S&W Victory and Ruger 22/45 had the most comfortable grips with best access to all controls. Browning and the wooden grips on some of the Rugers just didn't fit my small hands and I couldn't reach mag release/bolt stop well.

Match-grade trigger and extended bolt racker for the Ruger Mark IV 22/45. Thus, with a pair of Ruger 22/45s, I wanted to see what it takes to customize them with Volquarsten parts.
10 Δεκ 2013 · I see a couple of different routes people have taken at Steel Challenge matches in my area. Option 1. Start with a Ruger 22/45 Mark III or Browning Buckmark and replace the trigger with a Volquartsen and get a TacSol top end for it.
19 Μαΐ 2023 · Agree with some posts above, any reliable 22Lr pistol will work for steel challange, but better guns will result in faster times. Two things make the most difference for me, a great trigger and just about zero muzzle rise.
Top tier is a Black Mamba hands down. Also, Steel Challenge guns don’t have to be super accurate considering the distances and steel sizes. Most out of the box guns will be plenty accurate.
15 Ιουν 2022 · Given the accuracy and performance (with the possible exception of one magazine), the Taurus TX22 Competition SCR does look to be truly Steel Challenge ready. And the affordable price leaves you a few bucks for trigger work if desired.
