25 Οκτ 2024 · I've been looking for an emulator that would be a decent replacement for Citra (especially since it and Yuzu got shut down). Any suggestions?
6 Αυγ 2024 · Citra, an open-source emulator for 3DS games, was discontinued in March 2024 after legal action from Nintendo; it remains available through archives and has a successor in Lime3DS. Despite Citra's discontinuation, emulators remain legal, and Citra can still be installed on PCs and Android devices from the Internet Archive.
25 Οκτ 2024 · I haven't tested that at all, nor do I have that option on Citra (using an official nightly (2063) build from before it got taken down), so I'm not sure. You can try multiple given options of the Citra fork and see which one provides the best fix to your issue.
Over the time these other 3DS emulators should surpass Citra and also some Citra fork should emerge and consolidate, but until then you can just still use the latest build, you can find links to download in a search or here: https://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/Citra
Emudeck can no longer download the emulator Citra for you because their GitHub page has been taken down. If you have the emulator already or find it, they then can configure it for you but they can’t download it for you anymore.
Most of what you're going to want to play works on Citra already, so keep playing on Citra until something else comes along and is better than Citra.
Citra is the world's most popular, open-source, Nintendo 3DS emulator. It is written in C++ with portability in mind and builds are actively maintained for Windows, Linux, Android and macOS. Compatibility | Releases | Development | Building | Support | License.
