Grease combined with a commercial grease additive is probably the greatest bear-bait additive of all time. It has caloric content, lots of fat, lots of scent, it sticks to everything, and doesn’t wash away easily with rain.
9 Ιουν 2012 · Fryer grease is usually part of the bait that I use. It makes for great scent trails. I don't know if you have tried bearscent products but they work well. I have had good results opening up baits with their bacon, hickory and big paw. It is not homemade but inexpensive enough to buy some to try out. http://www.bearscents.com/Products.html.
